We bought Aremiti in June 2007 from a fellow member of the Ocean Cruising Club. Known then as Ganilly Rose, she had spent a happy 10 years with her previous owners cruising mainly in the Mediterranean but also completed an Atlantic circuit.
She immediately felt right for us. We knew of two Westerly Conways from our circumnavigation and that she would be a good bluewater cruiser. She needed substantial refitting which would give us the opportunity to equip her exactly how we wanted.
We changed her name to Aremiti which means gentle seas in Tahitian - reminding us of our favourite sailing experiences and, we hope, pedicting good times to come.
